Flashing lights on the road

On the way to the shops I followed my dad to Heatherton Road. Along Chandler there were cop cars and a TV camera outside the clinic on the hill. Not sure what's going on there. Turning onto Heatherton Road some idiot overtook me on the wrong side of the road. It took me by surprise and it cut it close really. I would have blasted the idiot if I hadn't seen the flashing blue and red light on the back of the car. There was then a cop car on Jones Road and an ambulance racing down Stud Road. Not sure what's going on in my are tonight!

Looking for old catalogues

Pulled my room apart again looking for more of the catalogues showing TFs but I just can't find them. I got an email via my webspace asking for help tracking down a Monty strip. I pulled out my books and turns out I do have the one he was seeking, so I scanned that in and will send it off tomorrow.

Saving two birds with one car

Driving home today I interupted two cats stalking and preparing to pounce on unsuspecting birds. My car alerted both bird and feline. I wonder why the cats are hunting? It's winter, it's cold. Don't they have better things to do?

Lots of little shopping

Went and saw Mum in hospital this morning then did a little shopping. Bought RE4 for $47. Then went and got a bunch of miscellaneous stuff at Parkmore: new metcard, new toothpaste, some more rechargeable batteries, some blank DVD cases for the spare discs when I buy the Ally box sets and some new hair product.

The hunt of shopping

Had a Seinfeld-esque thought as I was shopping today. Shopping is liking hunting. That's why I get annoyed by people being so slow. I'm there to track down items not to wonder around casually. Go in, get what I want, leave. So out of my way!

Spring clean in summer

I spent a lot of last night and some of this morning, tearing through my room. I have so much junk, but at least now it's organised junk. Somewhat organised at least. I have a good idea of where everything will go, but I need a good week or so dedicated to cleaning it and getting everything in the right place. Plus many hours of scanning stuff so I can throw it out. It's a long process but it gives me something to do when I'm not working on the weekend.

40 days or so

It's Ash Wednesday today, and for some reason I got a little confused. It's a leap year so I was thinking shouldn't the 40 days thing mean the start of Lent which is 40 days before Easter be a day off either way. Of course not, but it took me a while to work out why.

Would you be interested in....

Everywhere you turn there are people trying to sell you things. Yesterday it was all the program vendors at the Tennis. Today Got asked to buy some raffle tickets on Bourke Street, but I already did a few weeks ago for the same charity so politely told the gentlemen so.

Then just at the station Oxfam were trying to rope in more people. They've already got me once which I told them too.

Having had people tell me the same thing (true or not) last weekend I reckon that's the best response to give any salesman, already got one thanks!
